Makeup that goes well with kimono?

I’m gonna take pictures wearing a kimono and just wanted to ask how do I do my makeup? What colors do I use? *Note that I don’t wanna look like a geisha, or a japanese.

I dunno what color my kimono would look like, so I need makeup that goes well with any color.

Colors I have:
White
beige
blue
green
purple
violet
light pink
pink

that’s it. so little colors…

Please give me directions if you CAN.
I have dark brown eyes.

even the skin tone w/ foundation. that is always a must for picture. Apply a beige eyeshadow to the eyelids. Then take a liquid liner and do a classic wing line on the top lash line. apply a shimmering white to the inside corners of the eyes to make them look awake. apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes. You can either do a bright red lip (think pin up ish) or a nude pinky beige lip. finish with a shimmering pink peach blush on the apple of your cheeks.

Green would do nicely. If u sweep it lightly across the entire lid, and use a gold eyeshadow under your eye brow. LIne your eyes with black liner and mascara.

Below is a link to a makeup artist tutorial. She’s actually Conan O’brien’s makeup artist, she has like 80 different videos on youtube. A bunch of different ones from how to make your skin flawless, to how to full in your eyebrows, and like 50 different looks. She’s really down to earth and explains everything step by step and explains what it does and why you need to do it. She has a lot of expensive makeup so just atleast stick to the color suggestions and they’ll be fine too. She completely changed the way I apply makeup. Just watch her videos and find the right look for you.

Just basic, natural-looking makeup in neutral tones. In traditional kimono color coordination, it appears that pinks and reds are considered neutral colors that go with everything, so feel free to use your pinks without too much worry. Stay away from other strong colors, though. Since you don’t know the color of your kimono you risk clashing, and if your makeup is too strong you run the risk of just looking silly. Understated and natural-looking is always the safer option.

We’re celebrating Halloween the entire week of October 25th – 31st! Just click on any of these links and hop from blog to blog. Fun! Frolic! Mayhem! From ghoulish recipes to please monsters of all ages, to general insanity, make the rounds everyday to see what new surprises might be lurking around that dark corner. You know – the one with the broken streetlight and creepy shadows?

Refrigerated pie crust? Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh (Horror movie starlet scream)

Just kidding. These really look kind of gross, but only because of the name. I mean, hey, I couldn’t eat dinner the other night while my kids watched the Wizards of Waverly Place "Zombie Prom" episode, so make fun of me as you will. Funny about the crust comment above (warm hands). I was thinking the same thing. You probably melt the fat (butter or shortening). I mean that as a compliment, really. :D

Michael Jackson may have sexually abused those boys because his father did that to him?

I think he definitely sexually abused or molested those boys. There were way too many accusations from different people. It doesn’t make sense for none of them to be true. Plus his behavior wasn’t normal, like laying in bed with a child who wasn’t even his.
Do you think Michael Jackson could have possibly been sexually abused by his father?

Yes, I think there is a very good reason to believe that Joe sexually abused Michael and if not, at least contributed to Michael’s sexually abusive behaviour. From a research perspective, there is some studies that suggest that when reviewing the childhoods of sexual offenders, the common theme is physical abuse. In fact, these offenders were more likely to have been physically abused than sexually abused as children. Michael himself revealed that Joe was physically abusive. For me, it makes sense that this physical abuse could have easily extended to sexual abuse. And even if you don’t believe that, Joe was a stern task master who put his children in highly inapproriate situations such as being the opening act for strip shows when Michael was all of 6 years of age. Surely that constitutes child exploitation and failure to protect? Personally, I believe that Michael was a sexual offender because he had absolutely no idea about how to relate to normal adults on any level. I’ve also seen a very disturbing interview with Michael where he continued to maintain after his court case that it was perfectly innocent for adult men to share their bed with children and it happened to him "frequently as a child" This is a clue in my books. And from a professional perspective, one thing I know to be common amongst adults who sexually exploit children is that they find it very difficult to connect with other adults on a meaningful level. In this sense I believe that Michael did not consider his behaviour to be sexually abusive. He probably thought he was really having a relationship with these children and did not appreciate the power differential between them. Sexual offenders are the best rationalisers in the world. Michael’s rationalisations would have been made even easier by all his supporters who pandered to him and turned a blind eye. I find it very sad that someone did not protect this little boy who had such a great talent, but ultimately could not relate to the world and in reality was just a predator like every other sex offender.

good question. i think it’s a psychology thing. he must of been so scarred from his fear of his father that those kids had the life he didn’t and he became obsessed with it.
piachew. | Jun 25, 2009

Probably, but we will never know anything now since he paid all his accusers. He used every last penny he had paying off his accusers.
Jason | Jun 25, 2009

Of course there was sexual abuse in that family … how could there not have been??
R. Trout | Jun 25, 2009

I personally don’t think so. If (which I believe he did) molest those boys, there’s just something he was born with mixed with how he was raised (maybe) that lead him to do that. Most rape and molestation victims go on to live normal lives, they don’t repeat what was done to them. There was just something wrong with his head. Even though how his dad treated him sure didn’t help!
nicoleissofun | Jun 25, 2009

Whether Michael Jackson was abused by his father is unknown…but i know he will be missed by many even with the alleged skeleton in his cupboard. Rest in peace Mikky
mollabee | Jun 25, 2009

he did it because Edward Cullen molested him…nong. ~_~
Saku | Jun 25, 2009

AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH you talk about something that was thrown out of court. now i aint no protester, in fact i hate them but come on now aint no body got hurt so you can just drop that and if you want to continue to talk you can message me through youtube. my channel is as followed http://www.youtube.com/hankhill456
hank hill | Jun 26, 2009

It was never made clear, but it’s not a secret that he and his brothers were mentally and physically abused by their father. As a result Michael ended up a very troubled man who never grew up, at least in his mind. The whole thing from beginning to end is a sad story.
candace b | Jun 26, 2009

No I dont believe so. Now, Im pretty sure Michael Jackson couldnt have had a** whoopins worse than the ones any child with old school parents get. When you give a child money and power and he realizes he can do as he pleases and starts living a life of gold, OF COURSE he will believe his life prior was hell! I am pretty sure the discipline MJ got from his dad is no worse than the one my dad gave my brother…and believe you me…he got it tough!!! Its discipline, thats all!

As for the no body got hurt…you must not be a parent. He scarred the lives of children. As someone who has been a victim, I can tell you that its a hurt you could never imagine. God forbid any of your family members have to go through it.
Abigail V | Jun 26, 2009

As an adolescent Jackson and some of his other siblings stated they were physically and emotionally abused by their father. His father use to call him "big nose" all the time. His childhood had a lot to do with the way he turned out.
Paul | Jun 26, 2009

Did it ever occur to you that maybe those accusations were being made because the parents of those boys knew they would get rich off of it? And guess what, they did! I’m not saying he did or did not do any of those things. All I’m saying is at the time of his death, you talk about this? The man was a legend so why cant you let his family/friends and fans mourn him without your stupid and childish accusations!
MEL0929 | Jun 26, 2009

Either way. Just because you see or was raised by something, doesn’t mean you can do it to other people. There is a chance of that though.

But I have also had this thought, What if people brought their kids to that park and then filed charges just because of how he looked, because he is rich, and because he was known for doing that. I think he did that to the children but there is a possibility that others just wanted money.
Melanie | Jun 26, 2009

In an interview with Oprah, Michael admitted that his father did beat him. I doubt that he would sexually abuse anyone even if he himself was abused. Those accusations are ridiculous. I think those boys just wanted attention. Michael Jackson was a great man and for you to bring this up near the time of his death is simply and utterly wicked.
lalala | Jun 26, 2009

There is no evidence that he has abused kids. I believe people made this up because of jealousy. RIP Michael jackson.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!
j j | Oct 28, 2008

As an Eastern European you might Hostel offensive. Go with some classics like the early Halloween movies, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street. I just watched The Howling last night and it still holds up. If it was out in the 80s then it was probably good. The Ring and The Grudge are pretty decent. If you are really brave sit through High School Musical 3.

DRAGON 2008
"I BELIEVE IN U.S."
DRAGON | Oct 28, 2008

Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock is my all time favorite!
George Washington | Oct 28, 2008

I agree with the chap above who said the original Halloween is worth watching, as is the first Friday The 13th. Both are likely to give you a few jumps.
Otherwise, a horror from the 60’s I can recommend is Rosemary’s Baby. It’s not a horror in the traditional sense (there’s no blood and guts), but it’s a very, very dark and tense film that will keep you gripped.
Failing that, you can’t go wrong with Stephen King – Misery, The Shining, Carrie etc would all be good films to watch on Friday night.

Close the curtains, turn the lights off and have a ’screaming’ good time…
