Has anyboy seen the movie "Sherrybaby"?
What did you think? What else has Maggie Gylenhal done?

Yes. I liked it. Was really excited about it coming out. The trailers looked good. Then after seeing it, i realised there wasn’t much to it. Great story but Maggie’s acting kinda bored me. Worth watching though. Maybe 3 out of 5 stars.

Muslim women…question 10 pts?
NO TROLLS!!!!!!
u will be reported, i seen a handful today
if i get trolls i will simply re ask another time.

my question is for muslim women(im muslim female)

when u read stories of the strength of the men back then in the time of the sahaba…what goes through ur head????
both physical and spiritual strength..i admire them sooo much
when i think of Umar ibn al khattab(ra) kahlid ibn walid(ra) uthman ibn affan(swt) Bilal, the first muezzin!!
the stories were sooooo beautiful how much courage they had and strength.
Umar ibn al khattab was verry strong but he used that strength in righteous ways and helping the people! he walked around at night attending to people’s needs..seeing if women and children are properly fed!!!!!

how do u feel when u read that?
me being a female i cant help but think how it would be like to marry someone like that.

sometimes i feel that there is no hope, because even though NOBODY NO MAN will ever be like umar or any of these great men….they possessed certain qualities that every man should possess.

when i see some guys nowadays

more makeup on his face then women
tight pants
"sweet" looking appearance( u know what i mean when i say "sweet")
big muscles but weak heart

how do u ladies feel about the contrast? of men back then and nowadays!!! im not saying all(im not in no way generalizing, but this is what i see from my expereince…

i dunno sometimes i feel like the good men are either taken or dead.
what do u ladies think…please, dont answer if ur a guy.
SORRY I WROTE "SWT" FOR UTHMAN IBN AL AFFAN…IT WAS AN ERROR..SORRY..I MEANT TO WRITE "RA"
SORRY I ONLY WRITE "SWT" AFTER ALLAH.
I WAS MIXED UP BY ABBREVIATIONS.
I apologize.

i kind of agree .. but you know i had the opportunity to just pass by some brothers that have noor on their face, they are kind and strong looking.. masha’Allah .. that is when i think to myself that these men are still not extinct .. even though rare but they are around.

omg! i can so relate to seeing hideous guys that have more makeup than women .. eeks! .. i personally dont wear make up and when i see a muscular powder-boy with lip balm and tight pants i want to puke my guts out! .. one of the reasons i find the malls annoying is that "pretty boys" like to roam around there .. sheesh .. even tight pants alone can be a nauseating scene ..

another thing that i would like to mention is that .. these men think that the women should be like those days but they themselves act all weird .. like come on! .. you will get a wife based on how you are …. if i am bitter to some things then it is really because there are men these days that abuse the rulings …. and i guess you know what i am taking about ….

this all being said ..

dont lose hope sis .. we will get what Allah wants us to get =)

Ma’shallah, they had grace, piety and intelligence unlike the heathens nowadays that go on about Jay-Z’s music and their swagger. But there is always a diamond in the rough.

I wish I had lived in that time period, I would spend so much time attaining ilm and spreading the truth for the sake of Allah … :(

Stop telling lies!
I am neither taken or dead.

The last time I went out handing out candies to homeless women and their kids, three BIG women mugged me and took all my candies.

The Muslim men back in the dark ages and until now are following the example of Muhammed. Unlike Jesus, Muhammed was a violent person that went to war with people that did not agree with him. Jesus never killed anyone while at the same time healing people of their afflictions and casting out evil spirits from those that were opressed.

You say that "the stories were sooooo beautiful how much courage they had and strength".

To the average, civilized, upright, moral person, the things that Muhammed and his companions did are horrendous!

Like the beheading of 900 captured prisoners after raping their wives;

Ibn Ishaq writes that Muhammad approved the beheading of some 600-900 individuals from the Banu Qurayza who surrendered unconditionally after a siege that lasted several weeks. Ibn Ishaq describes the killing of the Banu Qurayza men as follows:
